On Mission as Family
The Mission of Maker & Kin is to disciple the generations through community and creativity.
1. We disciple the generations.
“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.”
Through classes and retreats we cultivate a rhythm of faith that bridges generations—encouraging each to pour into the next. Our desire is to see lasting transformation rooted in the truth of Scripture and expressed through lives that reflect the heart of the Creator.
2. We connect as kin.
"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! "​
We are children of our Maker, who desire to live fully as God's family. We value community that grows and ministers together. Our family dinners, worship nights, retreats and camp are just some of the ways that we bring the family of God together to joyfully connect.
3. We create for His purpose.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
We celebrate God as Maker, who created us in His Image and likeness, with the tenderness of His hands and the life in His breath. We value everyone using their gifts and stories to spread the Gospel throughout the earth. We offer creative classes for all ages so that people can learn that they are made in the image of a creative Father.
Our Story
This story has so many God winks that it is hard to fit onto a a single page... to hear the fullness of His goodness, come sit and have coffee and a conversation.

Tony and Lauren Wagoner spent years as school teachers, pastors and photographer. As their love for Jesus deepened and their hunger for intentional community grew, they felt a calling to disciple with the heart of family in the beauty and creativity of outdoors. They had a mustard seed of faith- with little finances and no idea how His plan would unfold. But in hearing His voice, they stepped away from pastoring at a local church to just wait on His timing.

And they waited.
And waited.

In 2023 after a door opened with the Glow Mission they began stewarding the land now known as Camp Kindling. They connected with families, discipled the generations, and watched people grow in their giftings. In fall 2025, they were once again asked to step out with faith and launch Maker & Kin. His provision and timing, the friendships and learning... have led them to a place where the generations come from all over to grow as sons and daughters of God. We are so excited for the journey ahead.
